Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Ruth C. King, Assistant Professor of Business
Administration at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign, earned her doctorate degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interests involve in three
major areas: Information technology and its impact on organization strategy,
organization structure, Traditional Industrial Economy and IT user satisfaction, Computer-mediated Group Collaboration
and Virtual Teams, and Information Technology Professional Development Issues
and Management Strategy in Dealing with Career Stress, Burnout, Turnover and
Commitment She has published papers in several research journals, such as
Information Systems Research, Communications of ACM, Journal of Management
Information Systems, Decision Sciences, European Journal of Information
Systems, Information and Management, Electronic Market, Data Base, Journal of
Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce.
Michele Gribbins is a Ph.D. Candidate
in Information Systems at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her primary research interests include
e-commerce strategies, technology acceptance, and mobile technologies. Her research has been presented at the
Americas Conference on Information Systems and at the Hawaii International
Conference on System Sciences.
Prior to joining the Ph.D. program, she was employed as a computer
trainer and an adjunct business instructor.
